Independence HomeHealthWares was founded in 1999 to primarily serve the home medical equipment and incontinence related needs of Rhode Island and surrounding communities.  The business became quickly recognized for outstanding service, great products and as a key resource for referring clinicians and facilities. In 2018, Independence HomeHealthWares was acquired by Todd Ackerman (Point Ventures, Inc). Since that time Todd has served as a "hands on" President. In 2023,  Independence HomeHealthWares acquired Foley Medical Supply, a South Yarmouth, MA based home medical equipment company. The business is now operated under the Independence HomeHealthWares banner offering traditional home medical equipment, mastectomy and compression products.
